About the Film
Set in the aftermath of theWatts Rebellion in 1965, White Flight is thestory of a younginter-racial couple that are forced to decide betweentheir love andthe pressures of their society.
White Flight isa 20 min shortfilm. This is writer/director Jordan Auten's Thesis filmfor UCLA filmschool. It's a challenging work and we'll need all thesupport we canget please invite friends to join.

The Production Team
Director: Jordan Auten (Writer, Director) earned a golf scholarship to the University of San Francisco. As a media studies major, Jordan won the Gloria Osuna Perez Award for her short film entitled, Civil Rights Still Lives. A Triggered Thought was selected as a finalist by judges, Angela Bassett, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sofia Coppola for 2003 SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE/Montage Entertainment Film Contest. She was voted co-captain of the golf team in 2002 and 2004, as well as elected President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, two consecutive years. Accepted into UCLA’s MFA directing program in 2006, Jordan has completed three short films, Though You Knew, Jodi, and Cup Size. She is a 2007 recipient of the Motion Picture of America Award. In her 2nd year at UCLA, she served as Festival Coordinator for the UCLA Festival of Creative Work. She is currently prepping for her Thesis film, White Flight at UCLA.
Producer: Victoria Estevez, A graduate of Barnard College in New York City, Victoria began her television career as a PA at Major League Baseball Productions working on weekly baseball themed programming. From there she went on to work at a boutique production company called Tupelo Honey Productions. While there she worked on multiple projects, from two weekly magazine style programs for the New York Mets to an online music program sponsored by at&t. She left Tupelo Honey Productions as a coordinating producer and earned two Emmy nominations for her work before she decided to leave her comfy office and head to LA. She is now in the M.F.A Producer’s Program at UCLA and very excited to be learning about and working on films.
Director of Photography: Jamie Urman is an award-winning Director of Photography from Palo Alto, California. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, and a Masters in Cinematography from the American Film Institute (AFI). His experience includes a broad spectrum of formats, including Narrative, Documentary, Commercial, Music Video, and Television.
HEZEKIAH L. LEWIS III Consulting Producer is an alumnus of UCLA's MFA film directing program. Lewis attended Villanova University on a football scholarship. As a communications major, he co-founded and served as artistic director for the Villanova Television Station along with directing numerous documentaries and short narratives. He was offered a Presidential Fellowship to attend Villanova's graduate school where he completed a Master's degree in Theatre. At UCLA, Hezekiah completed various short films and documentaries promoting social change and awareness. He received numerous awards for his outstanding efforts, which commemorate and recognize Hezekiah for his dedication, and passion for filmmaking.
